My Pöyry Story

'I can bring out my ideas'

Filippo, Project Manager, Switzerland

In Pöyry you are part of big and global engineering family

”I joined Pöyry in 2009 because I wanted to work for an international company. Despite the size (6000 people) and international nature of the company, I found myself being part of a big family. I was also impressed by the very well organised way of working with access to the best tools necessary. I could now exercise my profession of engineer with much more attention to my work and to the quality.

During my time here, I have been able to deepen my technical knowledge. I can bring out my ideas and compare myself with my colleagues in 360 degrees, which has enabled me to become the person and engineer I am now.

In 2013 I was chosen to provide my know-how in our branch office in Peru. There I managed the tender design of a very important hydraulic power plant in Ecuador. I could breathe the Pöyry air there too, and I felt much appreciated.

After growing from project engineer to project manager and spending five years in our Zürich office, I am now responsible for the structural engineering in our branch office in Bellinzona. In addition to managing projects, I work on acquisitions, and last but not least, I promote the Pöyry universe to those who still do not know it.“
