This 26-year-old engineer definitely knows what he is talking about. When not at the office, Tomas usually spends his time with 60 men in tailcoats. “The border between working time and free time is blurry when I talk about singing in the choir.” The oldest Finnish language choir, the YL Male Voice Choir traces its roots to the 19th century.
“When I sing in the choir, I am just one voice in big group of voices, and here at Pöyry I am one engineer in a big engineering team. When I do something here or in the choir, I am trying to be in harmony with the group. You have to listen carefully to the sound of the team, and react rapidly whatever happens.”
“When the small details all work together, they make something good, they make a perfect tune.”
