Mr. Piehl was appointed President of the newly established Group company JP Operations Management Ltd. Oy in 1996. JP Operations Management specializes in enhancing the inherent profit-earning capability of pulp and paper mills. Mr. Piehl was President of the company until 2001, when he was elected Chairman of its Board of Directors. In 2002 Mr. Piehl was elected Member of the Board of Directors of Pöyry PLC.
