Video: USD 670 billion global packaging industry set for continued growth fuelled by innovation

On 1 December 2015, Executives from Pöyry Management Consulting and Stora Enso, at the annual Investors Breakfast in London, detailed the drivers behind a buoyant packaging market that is due to see growth across all materials. The keynote presentations and Q&A session are available to watch below.

Jarkko Sairanen, President at Pöyry Management Consulting, introduced the event, highlighting the current strengths and complexities of the industry.

Special industry guest Jari Latvanen, Executive Vice President, Head of Consumer Board at Stora Enso, delivered a presentation on consumers as the key driver for both growth and change, informed by his FMCG background and understanding of consumer purchasing behaviour and trends.

Pöyry consultant David Powlson added an additional perspective on the forces shaping the future of packaging, such as sustainability, technological developments, and growth outlooks.

Managing Director of Pöyry Capital, Cele Moncayo-Quiros analysed packaging as an asset class and covered the financial responses from the public and private equity markets to the growth of packaging.

This was followed by a Q&A discussion with Jari Latvanen, Cele Moncayo-Quiros and Pöyry Management Consulting's Outi Juntti, chaired by Bengt Hammer, Senior Advisor at Pöyry Capital.
