JAAKKO PÖYRY GROUP AWARDED EUR 10 MILLION ASSIGNMENT IN BRUNEI BY BRUNEI
SHELL PETROLEUM

The Jaakko Pöyry Group's Energy business group, Electrowatt-Ekono, has
been awarded the Engineering Design Services and Manpower Supply
Services contracts for Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP).  The project
features the provision of multi-discipline design engineering services
covering conceptual, front-end and detailed engineering of BSP's
upstream (offshore and onshore) oil and gas production facilities. The
project is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a
further 2 years. The initial estimated value of the assignment is EUR 10
million.

The services will be performed from the Electrowatt-Ekono offices in
Kuala Belait, Brunei reinforcing our strategy of Global Competence,
Local Presence.  The award of the project reflects the successful
execution of the 4-year Design Engineering Services contracts for
Petroleum Development Oman (a Shell Operated Company) continuously since
1993.

Electrowatt-Ekono's goal is to expand its Oil & Gas design engineering
services with a specific focus on providing high value-adding services
tailored to achieve our Clients' business objectives.  The assignment
marks the achievement of a major milestone in the development strategy
of the Oil & Gas Business Area - particularly in the Southeast Asia
market - and further strengthens the relationship with the Shell Group.

The Energy business group, operating under the brand name Electrowatt-
Ekono, had net sales of EUR 146 million in 2004. Electrowatt-Ekono has
offices in 22 countries and employs 1500 experts worldwide.
