JAAKKO PÖYRY GROUP AWARDED EUR 32 MILLION ASSIGNMENT IN THAILAND BY AMATA POWER

JAAKKO PÖYRY GROUP OYJ Stock Exchange Notice
                           June 10, 2005 at 9.45 a.m.

JAAKKO PÖYRY GROUP AWARDED EUR 32 MILLION ASSIGNMENT IN THAILAND BY
AMATA POWER

The Jaakko Pöyry Group's Energy business group, Electrowatt-Ekono, has
been awarded the construction and supply contracts for a 60 MW gas-fired
cogeneration power plant in Thailand by Amata Power Limited. The project
will be executed over a period of 20 months. The value of the assignment
is EUR 32 million.

The assignment includes the engineering, procurement, construction and
commissioning services for a 60 MW combined cycle gas turbine power
plant producing power and heat. Utilising natural gas from a gas
transmission pipeline running adjacent to the site, the plant will also
cogenerate steam for the industries.

The facility location is within the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate 57 km
southeast of Bangkok, Thailand. This project is the third power plant
developed by Amata Power in the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate, besides
their 170 MW and 110 MW combined cycle power plants.

Electrowatt-Ekono's goal is to expand its range of services in the
combined cycle power plant market, especially in Europe and Southeast
Asia. Combined cycle projects of this type are expected to increase in
the near future, due to their high efficiency and low emission. This
assignment will be the fourth of this type based on gas turbine power
production technology performed by Electrowatt-Ekono in Thailand.

The Energy business group, operating under the brand name Electrowatt-
Ekono, had net sales of EUR 146 million in 2004. Electrowatt-Ekono has
offices in 22 countries and employs 1500 experts worldwide.
