Power stations that run on wood will become increasingly common in the UK
Power stations fired by wood will become increasingly common in the UK according to an interview with Poyry Management Consulting (London) Ltd published in the Life Sciences supplement distributed with the Sunday Times on 16 January 2011.
In the interview, Poyry predicts that bio-power will make a significant contribution to the UK achieving its renewable energy targets but the big question is, where is the biomass going to come from? If all the planned projects go ahead then the demand for biomass will far exceed domestic supply. The article entitled "Powered by Trees" provides some answers.
