Significant consulting agreements for Pöyry concerning the final disposal studies of spent nuclear fuel

Pöyry's Water & Environment business group has been awarded design agreements with Posiva Oy on expert work and groundwater flow measurement related to the hydrological and biospherical studies in the final disposal research dealing with the spent nuclear fuel of the Olkiluoto and Loviisa nuclear power plants. The parties have agreed not to disclose the grand total of the agreements.
According to the schedule confirmed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry in 2003, Posiva is preparing for submitting a construction permit application for the final disposal plant for spent nuclear fuel at the end of 2012. As per the design agreements signed, Pöyry will contribute to the work aiming for submitting the application.
