UPM-Kymmene (UK) Ltd has built a new biomass-fired power plant in Scotland.

The plant consists of a bubbling fluidised bed (BFB) boiler (99 MWth), an extraction condensing steam turbine (28 MWe), fuel handling equipment and auxiliary systems. The plant is fired with bark, sludge, forest residual, round wood and sawmill residues.
