Pöyry’s 60th anniversary milestone is a testament to the company’s continued success as a high performance organization - for which I am grateful to be part of.

I graduated as a Chemical Engineer, and my career began in a paper mill as a process engineer followed by production management.  The majority of my career has been in the engineering consulting world.  Based on a recommendation from a Pöyry colleague, I joined Pöyry in 2014 as a Project Manager.

Shortly after I started with Pöyry, the 10 Point Program was launched.  It was easy for me to “connect” with the message and initiatives of this program; especially as it related to “DNA – Intrapreneurship”.   I have always had an “entrepreneurial spirit” – which is probably why I enjoy project management so much.  I view my projects as “my business” – good project execution and a satisfied client.  

Over the last few years, I was fortunate to be selected as a Pöyry Builder for the Appleton, Wisconsin office.  This has been a great opportunity for me to support the many initiatives Pöyry is rolling out.  Besides supporting the initiatives, the Pöyry Builders have a voice!  At the highest levels in Pöyry, we – as Builders – have had our opinions sought out and listened to!

What makes me proud to be Pöyry?  It’s the fact that Pöyry is taking on some great initiatives to make the company stronger and more competitive; while at the same time working with a great team.
