JAAKKO PÖYRY GROUP AWARDED EUR 2 MILLION PAPER MILL ENGINEERING PROJECT IN EGYPT
Jaakko Pöyry AB, Sweden, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Forest Industry business group, has been awarded an engineering contract by Nugul Group, Jordan, for a new tissue paper machine to be installed at the Al Bardi paper mill in Egypt. The value of the contract is EUR 2 million.
The services for the tissue paper machine project include basic and detail engineering as well as site services for a tissue paper machine with a production capacity of 70 000 t/a. The new machine is scheduled to start up in early 2005. The project will be carried out by Jaakko Pöyry AB's Karlstad office, which is Jaakko Pöyry's tissue technology centre.
Jaakko Pöyry AB has also earlier co-operated with Nugul Group. In 1990 the company provided engineering services for Al Bardi's PM1 project.
The Forest Industry business group, operating under the brand name Jaakko Pöyry, had net sales of EUR 175 million in 2002. The Forest Industry business group has offices in 18 countries and employs some 2150 experts worldwide.
