JAAKKO PÖYRY INFRA STRENGTHENS ITS OPERATIONS WITHIN TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE ASSET MANAGEMENT
JP-Transplan Ltd, which is a part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Infrastructure & Environment business group, has expanded its transportation infrastructure consulting business by acquiring Inframan Ltd. The owners of the consulting company Inframan Ltd, Ari Kähkönen and Vesa Männistö, have sold all shares of their company. Inframan Ltd's turnover is approx. EUR 700 000 and the company employs seven persons. The acquisition of Inframan Ltd increases Jaakko Pöyry Infra's know-how in transportation infrastructure asset management within Northern Europe.
Inframan Ltd was founded in 1993 and specializes in consulting services in the maintenance and asset management of infrastructure. Inframan Ltd's main clients are the Finnish Road Administration with its regional offices. The company works mainly in road asset management consulting and in statistical analyses and modelling. The company has also had international projects in Sweden and Estonia.
JP-Transplan Ltd is one of the leading consulting and engineering companies within transportation infrastructure in Finland. JP-Transplan is a part of Jaakko Pöyry Infra's Business Area Transportation and is responsible for the Business Area's services in Northern Europe. JP-Transplan employs approx. 65 persons and has offices in Vantaa, Tampere and Seinäjoki in Finland, and in S:t Petersburg in Russia as well as in Vilnius in Lithuania.
The Jaakko Pöyry Group's Infrastructure & Environment business group uses the brand name Jaakko Pöyry Infra. Its net sales for 2004 were EUR 142 million. The business group has offices in 20 countries and it employs 1700 experts worldwide.
