Pöyry awarded services for rehabilitation of substation in Austria

Pöyry has been awarded a service contract by the Austrian transmission system operator Verbund APG for the rehabilitation of the 220 kV-substation Ybbsfeld. The value of the services amounts to EUR 2.7 million.
The scope of work comprises detail engineering and installation of all high voltage components and control equipment as well as cabling of the 220kV switchgear. Furthermore, the assignment includes dismantling of the old substation as well as commissioning and documentation of the new installations. Services will be performed in close co-operation with the client in order to ensure continuous and reliable operation of the local grid. The project will start in April 2009 and shall be completed by the end of 2010.
