PÖYRY SIGNS LONG-TERM SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH YARA
Pöyry has signed a long-term service agreement with Yara Suomi Oy, Finland for the supply of engineering and project services for its units in Uusikaupunki and Harjavalta. This assignment strengthens Pöyry's position as an international provider of engineering and project services to the chemical process industry. The contract value is not disclosed.
Yara International ASA is a global leading chemical company that converts energy, minerals and nitrogen from the air into essential products for farmers and industrial customers. Globally it employs 8200 persons and has a presence in 50 countries on five continents. Yara Suomi Oy was formed when Yara International ASA, Norway acquired Kemira GrowHow, Finland.
Yara's aim is to concentrate on developing and expanding its business operations. Pöyry supports this aim by developing and updating its expertise in line with the engineering and project needs of its client. The requirements of the core businesses of both parties will be met by creating a technically and economically competitive concept for generating, improving and developing engineering and project services.
