Pöyry wins 2017 ’Top Engineering award’ in Brazil
Pöyry has yet again been recognised with the ‘Top Engineering award’ in Brazil, this time for its performance in the category of Consulting / Project services for the Mining sector.
"This is a recognition for the experience of our employees in developing world-class projects that allow us to deliver state-of-the-art engineering and consulting services to our clients," says Fábio Fonseca, Pöyry’s Business Area President, Latin America.
This is the third consecutive time that the company has been awarded by the Association of Former Students of the School of Engineering of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (AEAEE-UFMG). In 2015, Pöyry won in the Consultancy and Engineering category and last year in the Heavy Civil Construction - Consultancy, Projects, Infrastructure Management in Transportation in Mining category.
The ‘Top Engineering Award’ honours companies working in Brazil that stand out as respected suppliers of engineering services for the Construction, Steel, Mining, Telecommunications, Health, Energy, Services, Agriculture and Livestock, Automotive and other industries.
In addition to the members of the AEAEE-UFMG, the winners are chosen by the votes of directors of leading companies and specialized consultancies, taking into account such factors as competence in the area of performance, quality of services provided, best value for money, technological upgrading and market presence.
