Fortum's Suomenoja 2 combined cycle power plant was completed in 2009. It was built at the same site with the existing Suomenoja power plant in Espoo, Finland. The electric output of the plant is 234 MW and the district heat output 214 MW. The new power plant uses natural gas as a fuel, thus reducing the use of coal and oil in the other power plants at the site.
Pöyry's services comprised conceptual design, feasibility studies, pre-engineering and the complete EPCM services including project management, procurement, engineering and construction management.
